Job summary

ABB in Kraków is seeking a procurement professional to ensure end-to-end PR to PO processes, monitor POs, and manage supplier lifecycle in a hybrid work model (8 office days per month). The role emphasizes SAP-based procurement, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration within the European Operation Center.

Candidates should be fluent in English and Italian, possess strong Excel skills, and bring experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end PR to PO process for direct and indirect procurement in SAP.
• Monitor open purchase orders, follow up on confirmations and Goods Receipts, resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement reports and ensure accurate material master data in SAP.
• Execute purchasing and logistics changes and resolve issues related to cost, quality and delivery.
• Support supplier lifecycle activities including registration, qualification, and escalation management.

This position reports to: SCM Service Delivery Manager

Your role and responsibilities

• In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses.
• Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.
• You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.
• The work model for the role is: Hybrid (8 office days per month).
• This role is contributing to the Procurement Team in EUOPC (European Operation Center).
• You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Managing the end-to-end PR to PO process for direct and indirect procurement activities in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order processing in line with business requirements.
  • Monitoring open purchase orders, following up on order confirmations and Goods Receipts (GR), resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
  • Tracking procurement processes and operational performance, maintaining procurement reports, and ensuring accurate material master data and SAP records in compliance with ABB standards.
  • Executing purchasing and logistics-related changes within your area of responsibility while resolving procurement issues related to cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Supporting supplier lifecycle activities, including supplier registration, qualification, and first-level escalation management, ensuring effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining SAP procurement data and processes while ensuring transparent collaboration across teams and contributing to efficient procurement operations.

Qualifications for the role:

• You are at ease communicating in business English (B2/C1) and Italian (B2/C1), both written and spoken.
• You are highly skilled in operational procurement or supply chain management and enjoy working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• You have experience in operational procurement or supply chain management, supporting purchasing processes and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP; hands‑on experience with SAP Ariba is considered an asset.
• You are highly adept in Microsoft Excel, using data to support procurement processes and reporting; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
• You are passionate about customer service and are innovative around teamwork, effective communication, and delivering high-quality results with a proactive approach.
