What You Will Do
As a "player-coach," you will dedicate 80% of your time to strategic leadership and process optimization, while remaining hands-on with operational activities for the remaining 20%.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and Empower: Drive high engagement and motivation within the Procurement Merchandise team through consistent 1:1 coaching, training, and career development.
- Manage Performance: Consistently apply performance management procedures, setting clear expectations for daily output based on standard work schedules.
- Monitor Adherence: Track employee adherence to established service hours and actively manage scheduling and output consistency.
- Ensure Readiness: Cross-train team members and build robust contingency plans to maintain operational stability during peak periods or staffing changes.
Procurement Operations & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage Regional Supply: Oversee day-to-day merchandise procurement from European suppliers for the North, Central, South, and Indirect clusters.
- Act as an Escalation Point: Serve as the primary contact for resolving complex customer and operational issues, ensuring swift resolution with minimal business disruption.
- Handle Core Transactions: Oversee the creation of Rentals and DEMO orders, ensure accurate system bookings according to regional rules, and manage supplier claims, returns, and invoice booking issues.
- Champion the Customer: Promote a customer-first mindset, ensuring the team’s daily work directly supports positive outcomes for our internal subsidiaries, external partners, and ultimately, our patients.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes. Encourage team feedback and collaborate closely with process owners to enhance overall efficiency.
- Leverage Data: Implement visual management tools, KPIs, and dashboards. Use data to track performance trends and motivate your team during daily stand‑ups.
- Ensure Accuracy: Minimize errors and improve turnaround times through rigorous process adherence and targeted team training.
- Maintain Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure strict adherence to company policies, local Labour Law, industry regulations, and operational guidelines.
