Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd is seeking a Procurement Intern in Gdańsk to support Spare Parts team with supply chain and logistics tasks. You will assist in fleet management system development and SAP interface support after training, and help create and adjust purchase orders within limits.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in relevant fields (data analysis or mechanical engineering) with experience in data analysis or procurement, and can work independently with strong MS Office skills and good English

• Currently enrolled in a field of study such as data analysis or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in business administration, data analysis, or procurement/supply chain is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support fleet management system development and maintenance.
• Assist with the SAP interface after training.
• Create and adjust purchase orders based on original information within limits.
• Assist colleagues with SAP MM and Sertica, track delivery dates, ensure punctuality.
• Complete incoming goods notifications and resolve PO/invoice discrepancies during processing.

What You'll Do

Within Gdańsk, Spare Parts team handles Supply Chain and Logistics from warehouse in Hamburg as well deliver on board. Globally team delivers the quality of service based on a high personal commitment to satisfy customer expectations. We are looking for a new team member to join us as Procurement Intern.

• Support the team in system development and maintenance of our fleet management.
• After comprehensive training, you will also be responsible for supporting the SAP interface.
• Create and adjust purchase orders based on accurate original information and within agreed limit ranges.
• Assist your colleagues with relevant systems (SAP MM, Sertica) and track delivery dates, ensuring punctuality.
• Complete incoming goods notifications in the systems and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices during invoice processing.

What Makes You A Fit

• You are currently enrolled in a field of study, such as data analysis/data science/mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Ideally, you have practical experience in business administration or data analysis or in procurement and supply chain management.
• The ability to work independently and flexibly is essential for you.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is necessary.
• You communicate very well in English (written and spoken).
