Perfetti Van Melle in Opole, Poland is seeking a Process Engineer – Gum Process to optimise production, improve efficiency and support new equipment. You will analyse data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Production to drive continuous improvement and cost reductions.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, initial process engineering experience in FMCG, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.

Formación

• Degree in engineering or a technical field; process/production engineering preferred.
• Initial experience in process engineering or similar role in FMCG considered an asset.
• Interest in production processes and process optimisation to improve efficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking to interpret production data and drive practical solutions.
• Proactive and creative mindset with initiative to explore improvements.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail under time pressure.
• Good communication and collaboration with Production and factory teams.
• Communicative English skills for technical documentation and discussions.

Process Engineer – Gum Process

Where we need you:

As a Process Engineer – Gum Process , you will support the optimisation of our manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and help ensure smooth and reliable factory operations. Working closely with Production and other factory teams, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot process-related challenges, and contribute to the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and products.

You will play an important role in identifying opportunities to reduce material costs, minimise production losses and downtime, and improve overall manufacturing performance. By analysing production data and participating in improvement projects, you will help turn technical insights into practical solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with initial experience in process engineering or a similar technical role who wants to develop their skills, take on new challenges, and make a tangible impact on our production processes.

Your core responsibilities at a glance:

• Optimise production processes: Identify opportunities to increase productivity, improve process efficiency, and enhance manufacturing performance.
• Support new equipment and technologies: Contribute to the implementation of technical solutions that improve production processes and operational effectiveness.
• Provide technical support: Work closely with the Production team to troubleshoot process-related issues and help ensure smooth factory operations.
• Support new product implementation: Provide technical input during product launches and help ensure successful implementation within the manufacturing process.
• Reduce costs and production losses: Identify opportunities to reduce material consumption, minimise waste, and decrease downtime.
• Contribute to improvement projects: Participate in initiatives focused on increasing productivity, improving process reliability, and achieving operational targets.
• Analyse production performance: Prepare production reports, analyse data, and identify trends and opportunities for further improvement.
• Collaborate across the factory: Work with colleagues from different departments to solve technical challenges and achieve shared objectives.

The ideal recipe for our new Process Engineer – Gum Process:

• A university degree in engineering or a technical field, such as process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a related discipline, would be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in process engineering or a similar position. Experience in the FMCG industry would be an advantage.
• An interest in production processes and process optimisation , with the motivation to improve efficiency and solve technical challenges.
• Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to interpret production data, identify problems, and support practical solutions.
• A proactive and creative mindset , with the willingness to take initiative, explore new ideas, and contribute to improvements.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail , including the ability to manage tasks accurately and work effectively under time pressure.
