Job summary

Avid in Poland is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer (Databases) to join our remote team. You will own end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of database-centric components within our Media solutions, collaborating with global teams to ensure data integrity and high performance.

You will analyze complex workflows, translate specifications into detailed designs, and lead technical discussions across sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience in C and C++ (STL, Boost, generics, algorithms, data structures).
• Experience with Windows Server/Cluster, VMware, and REST architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, test, optimize, and maintain media solutions.
• Understand engine behavior in virtualized environments and investigate data integrity, performance, scalability, and stability issues.
• Coordinate development and deliverables across multi-site teams and communicate with stakeholders.
