Job summary

Microamp Solutions in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a hands-on Presales & Solution Engineer to join our Sales & Business Development team. You will design complete customer solutions, create technical proposals, and deliver demonstrations and PoCs, working with Product and R&D to validate performance on priority 5G mmWave use cases.

You will collaborate with the Head of Presales and gradually build your own autonomy, contributing to opportunities through pre-sales activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in presales engineering, telecom network integration, solution engineering or a comparable technical role.
• Direct practical experience configuring, integrating and troubleshooting 5G RAN environments, including gNBs, 5G core networks and CPEs.
• Solid understanding of 5G NR, IP networking, Linux‑based systems and end‑to‑end network deployment; familiarity with RF and mmWave is an advantage.
• Experience setting up demonstrations, PoCs or testbeds and using tools to measure and document network performance.
• Solid programming skills in Python and scripting (Linux, Windows) focusing on automation and data analysis and report generation
• Ability to prepare clear technical architectures, bills of materials, customer‑facing technical proposals and test reports.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, curiosity and willingness to learn from senior technical experts.
• Good communication skills and confidence interacting with customers, partners and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solutions for customer requirements, including architecture, equipment selection, integration assumptions and deployment configurations.
• Prepare bills of materials (BoMs), architecture diagrams and complete technical proposals, including responses to technical RFP requirements.
• Propose commercial pricing using approved price lists and guidelines, subject to Sales review and approval.
• Work with Sales and the Head of Presales to refine solutions and proposals based on opportunity needs and technical complexity.
• Prepare, configure, troubleshoot and deliver live demonstrations and technical workshops for customers and partners.
• Set up and support proof-of-concepts and field trials, including gNB, 5G core, CPE and associated network components.
• Support customer and partner technical discussions and provide practical deployment guidance; travel regularly within Europe and occasionally internationally.
• Update scope of demonstrations & PoC in accordance with R&D to reflect the latest product capabilities and market interest
• Collaborate with Product and R&D to translate priority use cases into representative test scenarios, configurations and measurable acceptance criteria.

Job description

Microamp is looking for a hands-on Presales & Solution Engineer to join our Sales & Business Development team in Warsaw, Poland. The position reports to the Head of Presales. You will design complete customer solutions, develop technical proposals, prepare and deliver demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, and work closely with Product and R&D to validate performance across our priority 5G mmWave use cases.
You will collaborate with our Head of Presales, drawing on their deep technical expertise and progressively building your own autonomy. Both roles contribute to customer opportunities according to expertise and availability. This is a practical engineering role combining customer-facing work with laboratory and field testing.

• Execute 5G mmWave network configuration.

• Execute integration and migration work on L1, L2, L3 layers.

• Preparation of configuration files and scripts.

• You will participate in pre-sales activities, including pre-studies by providing technical analysis and expertise.

• Plan the implementation of the product configuration / integration work.

• Preparing and executing system, module and acceptance tests.

• You will work to identify and drive improvements.

This is a Warsaw-based position, with regular on-site collaboration with Product and R&D teams and access to laboratory facilities. Regular travel across Europe and occasional international travel are required.

Key Responsibilities

Solution design & technical proposals

Use case testing & performance validation

• Collaborate with Product and R&D to translate priority use cases into representative test scenarios, configurations and measurable acceptance criteria.

• Execute repeatable laboratory and field tests, measuring relevant KPIs such as uplink/downlink throughput, latency, range, stability and other use-case-specific performance indicators.

• Investigate integration and performance issues, document findings and work with engineering teams on resolution and retesting.

Performance reference data & documentation

• Build and maintain a structured library of validated reference configurations and performance results for priority use cases.

• Document test setup, methodology, environmental assumptions, measured results, limitations and expected performance, clearly distinguishing measurements from estimates.

• Provide reliable technical evidence and reusable materials for customer proposals, demonstrations, Sales and Marketing.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Work closely with the Head of Presales to transfer specialist knowledge and progressively take ownership of increasingly complex solutions.

• Provide structured feedback to Product and R&D on customer requirements, interoperability gaps and observed product performance.
