Job summary

ARCHE consulting in Poland is seeking a Portuguese translator specialist to translate and localize subtitles for TV shows, films, and other audiovisual content, from English into Portuguese, preserving tone and cultural nuances.

The role is full-time on-site in Poland with opportunities for growth; requires Portuguese and English at C1 and 1–2 years of subtitle experience, familiarity with AI-assisted tools like Phrase, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Portuguese proficiency at C1 with regional nuances.
• English proficiency at C1 with strong comprehension.
• 1–2 years in subtitle translation or editing.

Responsibilities

• Translate and localize subtitles from English to Portuguese.
• Preserve tone, meaning, humor and cultural nuance.
• Edit and synchronize subtitles with audio cues and pacing.
• Use industry-standard subtitle tools and localization software.
• Proofread subtitles for grammar, spelling and terminology.
• Incorporate feedback from QA teams and editors.
• Manage multiple subtitle projects and meet deadlines.
• Follow client and platform localization guidelines.
