Job summary

Arche Consulting Sp. z o.o. seeks a subtitle translator/editor to convert English content into Portuguese and Spanish while preserving tone and cultural nuances. You will adapt dialogue for natural audience resonance and maintain fidelity to characters and context.

You will edit and synchronize subtitles with audio cues and scene changes, following technical, formatting, timing, and readability standards, and incorporate QA and project manager feedback across multiple projects with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Portuguese proficiency at C1 level with regional dialect understanding.
• English proficiency at C1 level with strong comprehension.
• 1–2 years of subtitle translation/editing experience, preferably from Polish, and familiarity with AI-powered tools like Phrase.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management for media content.

Responsibilities

• Translate and localize subtitles from English into Portuguese/Spanish, preserving tone and cultural nuances.
• Adapt dialogue to feel natural and authentic to the target audience.
• Edit and synchronize subtitles with audio cues, dialogue delivery, scene changes, and visual pacing.
• Follow industry-standard subtitle editing and localization practices, including formatting, timing, and readability standards.
• Incorporate QA, editors, and PM feedback, making linguistic and technical adjustments.
• Manage multiple subtitle projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with high accuracy.
• Follow client- and platform-specific localization guidelines and technical requirements across different media content.
