Job summary

KMD is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Poland-based development teams building KMD Elements, a cloud-based energy platform. You will balance leadership, people management, and technical proficiency while guiding the product roadmap and ensuring high engineering standards.

As a technical sparring partner, you’ll drive agile practices, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver value. Expect travel to Denmark about 10% of the time for nearshore coordination.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as an Engineering Manager
• Strong technical background with 5+ years in software
• Experience managing product-focused engineering teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Leading and growing engineering teams, including hiring, development, and performance management
• Ensuring strong alignment between engineering efforts and business goals
• Building a high-performing, agile, product- and quality-oriented team environment
• Establishing and evolving technologies, engineering practices, and ways of working
• Removing impediments and supporting teams in effective delivery
• Acting as a technical sparring partner for Developers and Architects
• Engaging in technical discussions, supporting architectural decisions, and guiding engineering direction
• Driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and business areas
• Coaching teams and individuals, helping them grow technically and professionally
