Job summary

BEC Financial Technologies in Poland is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the IBM Netezza operations, assist BI teams, and drive the cloud transition for the Datawarehouse.

You will maintain the Netezza platform, handle incidents, optimize existing solutions, and ensure platform stability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven and documented experience in server and application administration for IBM Netezza or similar technologies.
• Infrastructure knowledge (cluster, networking, storage).
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

You will join our Data Enablement. The domain is in charge of Business Intelligence tools and platforms. The platform engineer offers the opportunity to work with Netezza and later to be part of our cloud transition for BEC's Business Intelligence Datawarehouse.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Operations and maintenance of Netezza platform (main responsibility).
• Incident handling
• Participating in optimizing existing solutions.
• Ensuring stability on platforms within ownership.
• Supporting BI teams using the Netezza platform
• Supporting Datawarehouse transition from on-premises to cloud.

To succeed you will have:
