Cisco Systems Poland sp. z o.o. is seeking a Security Foundations Engineer to build and maintain core security components using Go and/or C++. You’ll work in a fast-paced Platform Engineering team responsible for secrets, auditing, cryptography, and compliance across SaaS and On-Prem offerings.

You will collaborate with product teams, support 24/7 on-call responsibilities and drive secure-by-design solutions while improving system reliability and security posture.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with several years of production software experience.
• Proven experience delivering Go and/or C++ production software.
• Solid foundation in software design, debugging, testing, and secure coding.
• Strong Unix/Linux, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and learn new system parts.
• Experience applying GenAI tools in software engineering workflows.
• Growth mindset and strong English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Build, test, debug, and maintain core security components in Go and/or C++.
• Deliver well-scoped features, fixes, enhancements, automation, and ops improvements from design to implementation.
• Write clean, secure code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and contribute to durable fixes.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support and broader Ops/SRE duties.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, PMs, and partners to improve system behavior.
