Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Solution Design Lead to drive analysis and design of complex solutions within the Service Business Solutions Team.

You will partner with Technical Architects to shape end-to-end strategy and translate business needs into robust architectures across SAP S/4HANA, MuleSoft, and cloud-native stacks. You will lead design options, evaluate proposals, and own the integration blueprint while collaborating with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution, application, or platform architecture within large enterprise environments.
• Strong business process knowledge in multiple areas (at least two): Installed Base Management, Field Service Management, Asset Performance Management, Tools Management, Customer Portal, Sites Management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, MuleSoft, and cloud-based integrations; strong API-led and event-driven patterns.
• Experience leading or influencing technical teams; 5+ years with readiness for solution ownership.
• Solid technical foundation with exposure to .NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript, integration layers, and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve end-to-end solution and platform strategy aligning with business objectives.
• Translate complex demands into fit-for-purpose designs across architecture layers.
• Lead solution design and option assessments across SAP/MuleSoft/cloud architectures.
• Identify new tools and tech to address evolving business needs within Service IT landscape.
• Support commercial and delivery decisions by evaluating supplier proposals and architectures.
• Own and maintain the overall solution architecture and integration blueprints.
• Review supplier deliverables against requirements and provide feedback.
• Contribute to PoC initiatives and validate new concepts with architects and developers.
• Bridge between business stakeholders and IT with strong integration knowledge.
