Job summary

Schibsted & Vend Polska is building an Internal Developer Platform and seeking a Mid Platform Engineer to shape how the platform operates and how developers interact with it. You’ll automate, improve, and turn infrastructure into reusable, self-service capabilities that help product teams focus on building great software.

You’ll work across Kubernetes, AWS, security, reliability and FinOps, collaborating with architects and developers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (compute and networking).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated delivery workflows.
• Experience with observability, including monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Understanding of reliability engineering and how to learn from incidents.
• Awareness of infrastructure and Kubernetes security practices.
• Analytical approach to troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Kubernetes platform, focusing on lifecycle, availability, scalability, workload scheduling and capacity management.
• Develop AWS infrastructure and networking foundations, including account structures, topology and connectivity.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows using IaC and CI/CD to create repeatable processes.
• Strengthen reliability and observability through monitoring, logging and alerting, including on-call participation.
• Embed security into the platform with cluster hardening and policy enforcement.
• Improve developer experience with self-service tooling and sensible defaults.
• Improve cost visibility and allocation across cloud resources.
