Job summary

Aptiv is hiring a Platform Engineer in Kraków to build and maintain platform services and infrastructure across cloud environments. You will work hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with DevOps, QA, development, and product teams, ensuring security, observability, and performance. A fixed-term contract is offered with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 2–5 years in platform engineering, DevOps or infra roles.
• Hands-on with major clouds (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Scripting in Python, Go or Bash; Agile/DevOps exposure.
• Willing to learn and grow toward ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain platform infrastructure and services across cloud environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Contribute to IaC and configuration management per patterns.
• Implement solutions following engineering standards and design patterns.
• Support tool adoption selected by the team.
• Deliver engineering work items with reliable progress.
• Collaborate on design reviews and technical solutions with seniors.
• Work with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams; raise blockers early.
• Participate in stand-ups and Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure availability, observability, and performance of platform services.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging; assist RCAs.
• Apply security, governance standards; improve resilience.
