Job summary

Solid Company in Kraków, Poland is seeking an experienced OpenShift Administrator to manage on-premises Red Hat OpenShift clusters and ensure platform stability. You will troubleshoot incidents, work with Red Hat Support, and contribute to lifecycle management and GitOps workflows using Argo CD.

The role requires hands-on Linux expertise, strong English communication, and a proactive approach to incident response.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience administering OpenShift clusters.
• Experience with OpenShift administration, maintenance, and incident resolution in on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and core concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform clusters in an on-premises environment.
• Support OpenShift cluster operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management, ensuring platform stability and reliability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve OpenShift-related incidents and technical issues.
• Collaborate directly with Red Hat Support and external technical teams to resolve complex platform issues.
• Manage and configure OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), including storage troubleshooting, storage types, and S3 quota workarounds.
• Work with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) to support cluster operations.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using Argo CD.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate GitOps API operations.
• Participate in Incident Management, handling operational tickets and resolving platform-related issues.
• Take part in half-day incident support shifts as part of the team.

• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and container technologies.
• Basic to intermediate Python scripting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Red Hat Support and external technical teams.
• Willingness to participate in half-day incident support shifts.
• Good command of English, including the ability to discuss technical issues with external support teams.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), including storage configuration, troubleshooting, and S3-related operations.
• Familiarity with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM).
• Experience developing Python-based automation for GitOps APIs.
• Knowledge of OpenShift cluster lifecycle management, including upgrades and platform maintenance.
• Experience working in environments with structured Incident Management processes.
