Job summary

APM Terminals is seeking a Planning Supervisor to lead planning activities across vessel, yard, and berth operations. You will ensure readiness for vessel calls, peak periods and exceptional situations, coordinating with operations, engineering, and commercial teams.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience in vessel and yard planning, and proven leadership with a focus on safety and efficiency in a dynamic port environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Maritime Studies, Automation, IT, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for dynamic operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with effective coaching and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planning activities on assigned shifts to support integrated terminal execution.
• Connect planning with operational and technical teams to ensure readiness for vessel calls and peak periods.
• Oversee vessel, yard and berth planning to optimize productivity and turnaround times.
• Monitor inventory integrity and optimize yard capacity and container flow.
• Lead contingency planning for yard congestion and disruptions while developing the team.
