Job summary

Hatch in Katowice, Poland seeks a Piping Designer to develop piping 3D models and 2D deliverables per project requirements and Hatch standards. You will resolve piping technical issues and guide other designers while coordinating tasks across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years piping design experience.
• Extensive experience with Bentley and/or Intergraph 3D design systems.
• Thorough understanding of the Hatch HSEC policy and standards.
• Sound design and modeling skills for plant layout, piping design and detailing.
• Thorough knowledge of piping components and materials.
• Experience with isometric production control and monitoring.
• Experience with multidisciplinary coordination.
• Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture.
• Layout complex plant and piping systems using 3D modeling design tools.
• Perform clash detection of models and coordinate actions and closeout.
• Model existing structures, plant and equipment.
• Ensure all drawings, 2D extractions and piping deliverables meet Hatch quality standards.
• Coordinate and verify piping MTOs and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Train and mentor junior designers and provide guidance on Hatch standards and quality requirements.
