Job summary

Servier is looking for an External Manufacturing Buyer to manage procurement for pharmaceuticals and packaging subcontracting. The role supports cross-functional teams across Europe and the USA in a remote/hybrid setup, with occasional travel.

Responsibilities include leading sourcing activities, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring robust contract and claims management. A science background and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or Master degree is required.
• Solid experience in direct procurement, preferably in pharmaceutical/biomedical/chemical industries.
• Proven expertise in sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management (CDMO environment preferred).
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience in GMP environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Represent Procurement in cross-functional teams to support day-to-day operations.
• Lead sourcing activities, RFx processes, supplier risk assessment and onboarding.
• Negotiation and implementation of new contracts; manage renewals and statements of work.
• Participate in supplier performance evaluations and KPI dashboards.
• Coordinate with QA, regulatory, legal and supply chain teams to oversee suppliers.
• Assist in Category Management and strategy development for external manufacturing.
