Job summary

AUCTANE is seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to design and maintain robust relational databases. You will implement security controls, optimize performance, and manage backups and recovery using RMAN. The role requires on-call rotations, collaboration with IT and development teams, and strong English and Polish communication.

Hybrid framework in Poland: 2 office days per week in Wroclaw, with remote work as needed. A strong emphasis on data integrity, availability, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design concepts.
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery tasks.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and basic scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of security, auditing, and data protection best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases for performance and reliability.
• Manage backups, recovery, and RMAN-based strategies.
• Monitor and tune queries, indexes, and storage for optimal I/O.
• Apply security controls, access policies, and encryption.
• Plan upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams; participate in on-call rotations.
• Produce runbooks, document procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
