Job summary

N-able is seeking a Technical Lead for Data Center Operations to guide network and infrastructure across multiple data centers. You will direct LAN/WAN activities, design and monitor networks, and develop policies for hardware and software systems.

The role requires collaboration with Procurement and other teams, delivering status reports and ensuring uptime in a fast-paced, global environment. The position may require after-hours work and on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a production Data Center environment.
• 3–5 years networking experience with routing protocols (BGP) and high bandwidth.
• Understanding of firewalls, load balancers and network separation.
• 1–3 years data center power design
• 1–3 years data center cooling design
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef)
• Experience with asset management tracking and reporting
• Understanding Change Management in online production environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel infrequently and work flexible hours

This position requires the performance of highly advanced network work as Technical Lead for the Data Center Operations unit. Work involves directing and leading activities associated with a local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Internet and intranet systems, or other data networks; planning, designing, and integrating data telecommunications networks; designing, installing, and monitoring networks; monitoring and analyzing existing hardware and software; developing policies and procedures; and evaluating potential network enhancements. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

The Data Center team provides the operating infrastructure on which the product lines reside. This requires a stable and fault tolerant environment in order to deliver consistent and reliable services to our customers.

What You'll Do

• Support existing hardware in multiple Data Center locations
• Plan and implement installations in multiple Data Center locations in a timely manner.
• Automation of configurations and management of network devices
• Ensure accurate inventory information for multiple Data Center locations.
• Work closely with Procurement team to track orders and deliveries to multiple Data Center locations.
• Work with the Manager of Data Center Engineering on Data Center status reports for Senior Management for each Data Center location
• Act as primary point of contact for installations in multiple Data Center locations
• Refine and document support processes for each location.
• Configure and support Data Center network equipment.
• Act as second tier of escalation in the event of issues or outages
• Coordinate with ISP’s and vendors for data center services
• Coordinate with product line managers in support of their operations.

What You'll Bring

• 1-3 years working in a production Data Center environment.
• 3-5 years networking experience with a working understanding of routing protocols, BGP, link aggregation in medium to large scale high bandwidth environments
• Understanding of networking (firewalls, load balancers, separation of public and private networks)
• 1-3 years experience with data center power requirements and design.
• 1-3 years experience with data center cooling requirements and design.
• Experience with configuration management tools (ansible, puppet, chef, etc.)
• Experience with asset management tracking and reporting
• Understanding of the importance of Change Management in an online production environment
• Highly refined organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• High energy and a driven desire to positively impact the business
• Have flexibility in work schedule to meet the needs of working on global projects
• Minimal travel required with this position.
• Working understanding of supporting applications running in Cloud
• Seasoned in Agile concepts and SCRUM.

This position has a base monthly salary starting from 19,075.00 PLN gross. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
