Job summary

U.S. Bank (Elavon) is seeking an Operations AI Strategist to lead the business strategy for applying AI and agentic decisioning across PMI Operations in Europe and North America.

You will define autonomy, governance, and the AI-enabled digital self-service roadmap while ensuring alignment with regulatory and risk controls. The role combines business strategy with operating-model leadership, not development, and requires deep experience in payments, decisioning, and enterprise AI governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in payments, financial operations, decisioning, strategy, or transformation within financial services.
• Experience in AI governance, risk management, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Strong ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across product, technology, risk, compliance, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI and agentic decisioning strategy across PMI Operations, translating priorities into a multi-region portfolio.
• Define the AI autonomy framework, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive governance, bias monitoring, and audit readiness for AI-enabled decisions.
