Job summary

KALE Recruitment seeks an Offshore Construction Compliance Coordinator for a leading European offshore wind investor active in Poland. You will ensure construction complies with Polish Building Law, permit conditions and approved design documentation, coordinating with Investor, contractors, designers and supervision teams.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in construction management or compliance, fluent in Polish and English, with strong knowledge of permits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statutory construction functions (Kierownik Budowy, Kierownicy Robót, Inspektorzy Nadzoru Inwestorskiego).
• Manage external providers of licensed construction management and supervision services.
• Act as the primary interface between offshore installation contractors and construction management organizations.
• Oversee construction documentation, including the Dziennik Budowy, BIOZ Plan, inspection records and as-built docs.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support inspections involving Building Supervision Authorities and other public bodies.
• Report compliance status, risks, and key issues to project leadership.

Job description

Our client is one of the leading offshore wind investors in Europe now undergoing the construction phase of one of their key projects in Poland. For their construction team we are seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Compliance Coordinator to ensure that the construction of their offshore wind farm is executed in full compliance with Polish Building Law, permit conditions, and approved design documentation.

The successful candidate will act as the key interface between the Investor, offshore installation contractors, designers, supervision teams, and external providers of licensed construction management services. The role will oversee all building-law-related aspects of the offshore construction process and lead the offshore building office team. Therefore LOCAL knowledge of BUILDING LAW, PERMITS is a must as well as a good level of both POLISH AND ENGLISH.

As a coordinator, you will be liaising with different package teams, making sure all possible gaps are filled and the communication between the teams flows.

EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION OR DESIGN, and also experience with PROJECT DOCUMENTATION is a must for this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with Polish Building Law, permit conditions, and approved design documentation.


• Coordinate and oversee statutory construction functions, including Construction Manager (Kierownik Budowy), Works Managers (Kierownicy Robót), and Investor’s Supervising Inspectors (Inspektorzy Nadzoru Inwestorskiego).


• Manage external providers of licensed construction management and supervision services.


• Act as the primary interface between offshore installation contractors and construction management organizations.


• Oversee construction documentation, including the Construction Site Log (Dziennik Budowy), BIOZ Plan, inspection records, and as-built documentation.


• Coordinate design changes and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.


• Support communication and inspections involving Building Supervision Authorities and other relevant public authorities.


• Monitor construction compliance, identify regulatory risks, and coordinate corrective actions where required.


• Support construction completion, regulatory approvals, and project handover activities.


• Report compliance status, risks, and key issues to project leadership.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Civil or Electrical engineering, or relevant field.

LANGUAGES

The project has an international team of employees, and the working language is English.

Candidates need to be fluent in Polish and English both spoken and written.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, supervision, or construction compliance.


• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.


• Experience on large infrastructure, energy, industrial, marine, or offshore projects.


• Experience in offshore wind or other offshore construction projects is a plus.


• Experience acting as Kierownik Budowy or Inspektor Nadzoru Inwestorskiego would be an advantage.


• Experience working with Polish regulatory authorities and permitting processes is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Professional design and/or structural engineering licenses is a plus.The ideal candidate for this position will provide project management for planning, and organizing all aspects of the task related to the relevant projects. As part of this role, the manager will have to oversee the works of his peers acting as the point of contact to handle any issues regarding the project.
