Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect to deliver security solutions for global customers.

You will own the integration, configure and test deployments, and ensure go-live readiness while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires experience with TCP/IP, routing protocols, and customer-facing consulting, plus the ability to tailor security controls to each environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical integration of Security Solutions (config, testing, go-live).
• Analyze customer traffic and tailor Akamai security solutions.
• Design network topology, GRE/IPsec tunneling, and routing security.
• Ensure anti-DDoS solutions are correctly configured and provisioned.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope, timelines, and solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop skills.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of our security solutions. You will take care of the integration and traffic analysis. You will be creating innovative solutions for our global based customers.

As a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analysing customer traffic as well as systems and customising Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security issues
• BGP FlowSpec, ACL design, traffic baseline profiling, GRE/IPsec tunneling, and network topology analysis
• Ensuring our anti DDOS solutions are configured and provisioned correctly for our customers
• Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the ongoing implementation
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and web servers
• Show experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
• Have experience with network protocols such as GRE/BGP
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
• Show proactivity and work with a sense of urgency combined with constant desire to learn
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be an accountable member of the team
• Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content in English
