The Job Role as Network Automation Engineer:

As Network Automation Engineer will play a key role in designing, building and improving automation capabilities for our global network and cloud connectivity environment. The position is based in Warsaw and is part of an international team responsible for operating and transforming a secure, stable and scalable network infrastructure across multiple regions and business units.

The role focuses on turning network operations into reliable, repeatable and well‑documented automated processes. This includes developing and maintaining automation workflows, scripts and Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Nautobot, Python, Ansible and Terraform, while also supporting Azure networking and hybrid connectivity use cases. The position works closely with network engineers, cloud teams, security teams and service providers to improve configuration consistency, data quality, deployment speed and operational resilience.

The key contribution of this role is to reduce manual effort, improve network reliability and enable a more standardised global network operating model. The Network Automation Engineer will act as a technical expert for automation and source‑of‑truth concepts, while also bringing strong network engineering knowledge across technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, UniFi, VPN, routing and cloud connectivity. The role requires a structured mindset, strong technical ownership and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.

What you’ll do:
  • Design, develop and maintain network automation solutions for global network operations, deployment and lifecycle processes.
  • Build and improve automation workflows using tools such as Nautobot, Python, Ansible, Terraform and related automation frameworks.
  • Develop Nautobot as a source of truth for network inventory, IP address management, device data, configuration data and automation workflows.
  • Create and maintain scripts, playbooks, templates and pipelines to automate network changes, reporting, validation and documentation.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment approaches for network and cloud connectivity environments, including Microsoft Azure networking use cases.
  • Work with global network technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, UniFi, VPN, IPsec, BGP, LAN, WAN and dynamic routing.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, automation and data‑quality issues across tools, platforms and global infrastructure environments.
  • Contribute to standardisation, configuration consistency and lifecycle management across the worldwide network landscape.
  • Work closely with international IT teams, cloud teams, security teams, service providers and local stakeholders to deliver reliable automation outcomes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, automation standards, operational procedures and reusable templates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network operations, monitoring, automation maturity and service quality.
Must have:
  • Strong hands‑on experience in network automation, network engineering or infrastructure automation within complex enterprise or global environments.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, especially with Python.
  • Practical experience with Ansible for infrastructure or network automation.
  • Practical experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling.
  • Experience with source‑of‑truth, network inventory or IPAM concepts; hands‑on experience with Nautobot is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, VPN, IPsec, routing, static and dynamic routing, and BGP.
  • Good understanding of next‑generation firewalls, especially Palo Alto Networks.
  • Experience with cloud or hybrid network connectivity, ideally Microsoft Azure networking.
  • Experience working with APIs, structured data formats and tool integrations.
  • Good understanding of version control and collaborative development practices, ideally using Git.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex issues across automation workflows, network platforms, connectivity and data quality.
  • Ability to work in English within an international team.
Nice to have:
  • Hands‑on experience with Nautobot plugins, jobs, data models or automation integrations.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki and UniFi network environments.
  • Experience with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, ideally Checkmk.
  • Basic Linux administration knowledge and confidence working with Linux‑based systems or command‑line environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, linting or validation of infrastructure code.
  • Experience with network configuration backup, compliance checks or automated configuration validation.
  • Familiarity with containerised environments, Docker or self‑hosted automation tools.
  • Experience in international or globally distributed IT environments.
  • Relevant network, cloud, security or automation certifications are an advantage.
Personal skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure complex technical topics and turn them into practical automation solutions.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams, stakeholders and service providers.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for data quality, automation reliability, network stability and service quality.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively to a global team environment.
