Job summary

OPmobility is seeking an engineer with a Mechatronics or Mechanical background to identify technologies, define technical requirements, and lead component development from concept and feasibility through testing, validation and industrialization.

You will collaborate with suppliers to optimize products across their lifecycle, analyze test results to ensure real‑world performance, support the introduction of new technologies into serial production, manage technical risks, and act as a reference

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive R&D or product development are required.
• Knowledge of validation and engineering best practices.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive technical topics independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new technologies, components and suppliers to support future product development and innovation.
• Define technical requirements and ensure components meet performance, quality, reliability and cost targets.
• Lead component development activities from concept and feasibility phases through testing, validation and industrialization.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to develop, improve and optimize products throughout their lifecycle.
• Analyze test results and technical data to ensure solutions perform as expected in real-life operating conditions.
• Support the introduction of new products into serial production, ensuring a smooth transition from development to manufacturing.
• Manage technical risks, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous product optimization.
• Act as a technical reference for mechatronic components, sharing knowledge and supporting global project teams.
