Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Mechatronics System Designer to join a global team. The role focuses on defining requirements, leading development from concept to validation, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize products for serial production.

The candidate should have an engineering degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering, strong multi-disciplinary skills, and a proactive approach to solving complex automotive challenges.

Qualifications

• Requires an engineering degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Experience in automotive R&D, product development or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of complex technical products and multidisciplinary development environments.
• Knowledge of product validation and engineering best practices.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive technical topics independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new technologies, components and suppliers for future product development.
• Define technical requirements and ensure components meet performance, quality, reliability and cost targets.
• Lead component development from concept to testing, validation and industrialization.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop, improve and optimize products throughout their lifecycle.
• Analyze test results and data to ensure solutions perform under real-life conditions.
• Support introduction of new products into serial production and ensure smooth transition.
• Manage technical risks and contribute to continuous product optimization.
• Act as a technical reference for mechatronic components and support global teams.
