Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Mechatronics Engineering Manager to lead the Component Engineering team, shape design to cost and ensure successful project delivery in automotive and mobility domains.

You will drive design, validation and manufacturing processes, manage supplier partnerships, and uphold engineering best practices across the department while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive, railway or other complex manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of product design, validation, manufacturing processes and Design-to-Cost principles.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Component Engineering team, ensuring effective resource planning and successful project execution.
• Drive the design, development and validation of components, balancing performance, manufacturability, cost and quality requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and support the delivery of innovative engineering solutions.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to support product development and continuous improvement.
• Benchmarking competitors, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to support continuous improvement and ensure compliance.
• Oversee engineering processes, methodologies and best practices across the team.
• Manage departmental resources and budget while ensuring project objectives are achieved.
• Build and maintain a collaborative team culture that encourages accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous development.
