Job summary

Kalmar in Stargard is seeking a Development Engineer – Mechatronics to join the Sustaining Engineering team. You will influence the entire product life cycle with a balance of electrical design and production support, on a local team with global context.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical design, PLC programming, and cross-functional collaboration across Production, Sourcing, and Quality. A hybrid work model is offered, with on-site and remote days, and a focus on growth in mobile machinery

Qualifications

Proficiency in electrical design using E3 software.
Hands-on PLC programming experience Danfoss Plus+1.
Solid knowledge of control systems, CAN bus topologies, and 3D CAD tools.
Basic familiarity with Functional Safety principles.

Responsibilities

Design & Custom Engineering (50%): develop and maintain vehicle control systems, create electrical designs using E3, and handle 3D CAD & software development tasks.
Production & Product Support (50%): provide direct technical support to Production, Sourcing, and Quality teams to solve electrical and control system issues on site.
Testing & Validation: execute on-vehicle software testing, functional safety checks, and control system validation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with global project managers, sourcing teams, and local production lines.
