Job summary

Kalmar Inc. is seeking a Development Engineer – Mechatronics in Stargard to join Sustaining Engineering. You will split time between design work and site production support, owning vehicle control systems and collaborating with global teams.

The role emphasizes electrical design, 3D CAD, on-vehicle software testing, and functional safety checks with close interaction across Production, Sourcing and Quality groups. Hybrid work model in Poland offers growth in a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional engineering experience in mobile machinery or automotive (preferred).
• Higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in electrical design using E3 software.
• Hands-on PLC programming with Danfoss Plus+1.
• Solid knowledge of control systems, CAN bus topologies, and 3D CAD tools.
• Basic familiarity with Functional Safety principles.
• Valid SEP qualifications (up to 1kV).
• Minimum B1 English (written and spoken).
• High autonomy in electrical problem-solving.
• Proactive attitude, clear communication, and attention to detail.

Join Kalmar in Stargard as a Development Engineer – Mechatronics in our Sustaining Engineering team. Working in a close-knit local team, you will have a direct impact on the entire product life cycle. This position offers a balanced focus between electrical design and production support/custom engineering.

What are your key responsibilities:

• Design & Custom Engineering (50%): Develop and maintain vehicle control systems, create electrical designs using E3 software, and handle 3D CAD & software development tasks.
• Production & Product Support (50%): Provide direct technical support to Production, Sourcing, and Quality teams to solve complex electrical and control system issues on site.
• Testing & Validation: Execute on-vehicle software testing, functional safety checks, and control system validation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global project managers, sourcing teams, and local production lines.
