Job summary

RSB Automotive Consulting is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Kraków to work on advanced automotive systems for electrified vehicles, focusing on system concepts and requirements management.

You will collaborate with Hardware, Software, Calibration, Test and Functional Safety teams, perform analyses, support integration, verification, and ISO 26262 activities in a hybrid Kraków setup. Remote cooperation may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in automotive system engineering.
• Experience with automotive electronic systems, power electronics, EVs.
• Strong knowledge of system development processes: requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system concepts for electrified powertrain and power electronics.
• Define, analyze, and manage system requirements.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Software, Calibration, Test and Functional Safety teams.
• Perform technical analyses and root-cause investigations.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation.
• Contribute to Functional Safety activities per ISO 26262.
• Participate in technical discussions with engineers and stakeholders.

RSB Automotive Consulting is supporting one of our clients from the automotive industry in expanding their engineering team. We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to join projects focused on the development of advanced systems for electric and electrified vehicles.

System Functions Engineering

development and definition of system functions, creation of system concepts, requirements management, and close cooperation with Hardware, Software, Test, and Functional Safety teams throughout the product lifecycle.

System Infrastructure Engineering

development of system infrastructure elements, including functions related to power supply, microcontroller safety mechanisms, and system architecture for advanced automotive electronic systems.

System Problem Solving Engineering

investigation of technical issues, defect analysis, root cause identification, and definition of system-level solutions supported by laboratory, HiL, and vehicle-level testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system concepts for automotive systems, including electrified powertrain and power electronics solutions


• Define, analyze, and manage system requirements


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Calibration, Test, and Functional Safety


• Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations


• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities


• Contribute to Functional Safety activities according to ISO 26262


• Participate in technical discussions with engineering teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• Several years of experience in System Engineering within the automotive industry


• Experience with automotive electronic systems, power electronics, EV, or related technologies


• Strong understanding of system development processes: requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation


• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis activities


• Knowledge of Functional Safety principles (ISO 26262) is an advantage


• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams


• Very good command of English

Nice To Have

• Experience with HV systems, inverters, or electrified powertrain solutions


• Knowledge of tools such as Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink, CANoe, or similar


• Experience with requirements management and change impact analysis
