Job summary

Sterling Outsourcing Sp. z o.o. Kraków is seeking a mid to senior Mechanical Design Specialist to create custom automation equipment and machine subsystems using SolidWorks.

You will translate customer requirements into safe, cost effective engineering solutions and maintain 3D models, drawings, and BOMs. In this role you will select components, collaborate with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• English communication at level C1 (written and spoken).
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems Design, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of mechanical design experience in automation, machine design or related environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD and related engineering tools.
• Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, machine components, pneumatics and sensing.
• Prioritize safety in design, documentation and communication.
• Ability to travel to customers, other sites or business units as needed.

Our requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English C1)
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems Design, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, or related discipline
• 6-8 years of mechanical design experience, including experience in custom automation, machine design, or a comparable environment
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, and related engineering tools
• Practical understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, machine components, pneumatics, sensors, and mechanical design fundamentals
• Prioritize safety in all design work, documentation, communication, and interactions
• Ability to travel to customers, other sites, or business units as needed
