Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a technically skilled CAD specialist to join our global R&D team in Poland. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings for standard parts and components, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and quality practices.

You will collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to define specifications and support standardized component deployment. The role emphasizes maintaining data quality within PLM/PDM systems while contributing to data standardization

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or similar.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D technical documentation creation in CAD tools (PTC Creo or similar).
• Experience with PLM/PDM tools is an advantage.
• Fluent English and ability to communicate in an international environment.

The opportunity

Join our global R&D team and help develop standard transformer accessories and components used across engineering projects worldwide.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, support the development of reusable engineering components, and maintain a central engineering repository. Working with international engineering teams, you will help ensure high-quality design data and alignment with global standards. You will contribute to standardization initiatives and help improve data quality within central PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/PDM (Product Data Management) systems.

Your background

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or similar.

• Understanding of engineering design standards, norms and industry best practices.
• Experience with PLM/PDM tools is an advantage, e.g. Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP PLM, 3DX or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English and ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
