Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Kraków to support the HW PO organization and Project Managers with VAVE and Design-to-Cost activities, delivering BOM cost commitments. You will lead material improvement efforts, design electrical circuits for automotive requirements, and collaborate across product development, manufacturing, and finance to achieve cost reductions.

Key tasks include bench testing, circuit simulations, and presenting electrical performance in design reviews.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related.
• Experience in design verification, qualification and EMC test.
• Familiar with one or two circuit simulation tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, LIN, LVDS, USB, I/O drivers, protections, and SMPS/converters.

Responsibilities

• Support HW PO organization and Project Managers with VAVE and Design-to-Cost to deliver BOM cost commitments.
• Lead material improvement cost for products and meet deliverables.
• Design electrical circuits to meet automotive requirements.
• Identify value design ideas and innovations in processes and tools.
• Drive innovation from ideation through Six Sigma stages and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to establish product quality standards.
• Coordinate with product development, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance to achieve cost reductions.
• Complete complex projects with planning, implementation and control.
• Perform benchmark analyses and advanced worst-case circuit analyses.
• Conduct bench testing to verify analysis/simulation results.
• Work with CAD to ensure PCB meets manufacturing requirements.
• Present electrical performance in design reviews and failure analyses.
• Lead efforts to resolve technical issues and improve reliability.
• Provide technical leadership for R&D activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the HW PO organization and Project Managers with VAVE and Design-to-Cost activities to deliver BOM cost at or beyond business case commitments. Lead material improvement cost for products and meet internal and external customer deliverables. Design electrical circuits to meet requirements of automotive customers Identify and develop value design ideas and innovation in processes and tools. Demonstrate your ability to drive innovation from ideation through Six Sigma processes, identification of product adjacencies, identification and execution of cost savings initiatives through VA/VE & product rationalization. Identify and execute cost out projects to drive Value Added Value Engineering Partner with quality assurance to establish product quality standards consistent with the needs of the market Cross functional interaction required between the product development, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance functions in order to achieve cost reductions Completes complex projects and performs project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control. Benchmark analysis Develop advanced worst case circuit analysis and circuit simulations. Perform bench testing to confirm analysis/simulation results. Work closely with CAD designer to assure printed circuit board meets design and manufacturing requirements Communicate electrical performance to internal and external customers through design reviews and failure analysis. Lead efforts to resolve technical issues and improve product reliability Train and assist engineers Participate and technical support in Electrical Peer Reviews across various product lines Provide Technical Leadership for Research and Development activities.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

MSc degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related Experience in design verification, qualification and EMC test Familiar with one or two circuit simulation tools Fluency in English. Familiarity with all of the following: Ethernet, CAN, LIN, LVDS, USB, I/O high side and low side drivers, discrete inputs, transient protections, linear and smps converters, signal integrity, SoC and microcontrollers . Strong Electronic background Experience working in a laboratory performing testing. Good presentation skills.
