Job summary

Swift Recruitment is assisting a large international organization in Wrocław to hire an experienced Master Data Governance Manager who will lead the Business Partner Master Data domain and drive data governance across global SAP environments.

You will develop vendor master data strategies, manage a team, partner with Procurement, Finance and IT, and champion continuous improvement in data quality and service delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management or Data Governance.
• Experience in a people management role with direct team development responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Vendor Master Data and Business Partner Master Data.
• Experience in a global, matrix organization, preferably within shared services.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Governance, data quality, and service delivery.
• Experience with MDM platforms such as SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Reltio, or similar.
• Good understanding of SAP environments (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of Master Data Governance standards, processes, and service delivery.
• Lead initiatives related to Vendor Master Data and supplier lifecycle management.

About the client:

For a large international organization developing its global Master Data Management capabilities in Wrocław, we are looking for an experienced Master Data Governance Manager.

This is a people management role responsible for the development of the Business Partner Master Data domain, with a strong focus on Vendor Master Data, Data Governance, service delivery, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.

The role combines people leadership, Master Data Governance, process ownership, and business partnering in a complex global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the Business Partner Master Data domain across global Business Units and Functions.
• Drive the continuous improvement of Master Data Governance standards, processes, and service delivery.
• Lead initiatives related to Vendor Master Data, supplier lifecycle management, data quality, and governance.
• Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, IT, HR, Business Units, and other global functions.
• Own and develop stakeholder management frameworks, communication channels, and engagement models.
• Lead governance forums and working groups related to Vendor Master Data and Business Partner Master Data.
• Act as a line manager for the Business Partner Master Data team, including coaching, performance management, capability development, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Provide functional leadership to operational Master Data teams and Team Leads.
• Ensure appropriate service capacity, operational efficiency, process performance, documentation, work instructions, and data standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and harmonization across Master Data processes in a global SAP environment.
• Cooperate with business and IT stakeholders working across both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance or a related area.
• Previous experience in a people management role with direct responsibility for team development.
• Strong knowledge of Vendor Master Data, Business Partner Master Data, Source-to-Pay / Procure-to-Pay processes, and supplier lifecycle management.
• Experience working in a global, matrix organization, preferably within SSC, GBS, Shared Services, or a global corporate structure.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Governance, data quality, process ownership, and service delivery.
• Experience working with enterprise Master Data Management platforms such as SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Reltio, Stibo STEP or similar solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP environments, ideally including SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and process standardization initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
