Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Process/Manufacturing Engineer to optimize CNC machining and assembly processes in serial production. You will drive Lean improvements, implement new manufacturing technologies, and maintain critical documentation and APQP artifacts.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years in process/manufacturing roles, with strong English and ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within a production environment, preferably automotive or aerospace.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical, manufacturing, and assembly drawings.
• Knowledge of SAP, BOMs, routings, and basic MS Office tools.
• Solid understanding of serial manufacturing and assembly processes including machining, fastening/torque operations, inspection systems, and equipment.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and quality tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing automation and welding processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes with a focus on CNC machining optimization.
• Implement new products, advanced manufacturing technologies, equipment, and process changes in serial production.
• Analyze and resolve production issues using Lean tools and 8D, 5 Why, TPM, SMED, and scrap reduction.
• Plan, monitor, and control production schedules, capacity utilization, and output performance.
• Analyze production KPIs and drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and quality.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, PFMEA, BOMs, routings, and APQP docs.
