Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive process improvements, apply Lean manufacturing principles, and collaborate with our global teams to deliver operational excellence in our production facilities in Poland.

You will prepare process documentation, lead trials, train staff, and work with engineering to reduce costs and enhance product quality while meeting health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Lean tools and quality methodologies (APQP/PPAP/IATF 16949) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain process documentation including work instructions and PFMEA.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and performance.
• Develop and improve production tooling and equipment.
• Promote Kaizen principles (6S, SSP, ergonomics, standardization, visual management).
• Analyze drawings and specs for compatibility with processes.
• Interpret process data, resolve issues, participate in quality problem solving.
• Supervise production trials and support prototypes.
• Drive initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Train employees on new and existing processes.
• Collaborate with international teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Prepare and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process control plans, PFMEA, calculations, bills of materials, and process descriptions
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and performance
• Participate in the development and continuous improvement of production tooling and equipment
• Implement and promote Kaizen principles within the manufacturing environment (e.g., SSP, 6S, ergonomics, standardization, and visual management)
• Analyze technical documentation, including engineering drawings and specifications, to ensure compatibility with existing manufacturing processes
• Analyze and interpret process stability and quality data, resolve day-to-day technical issues, and actively participate in quality problem-solving activities
• Supervise production trials following process changes, prepare related reports, and support the development and assembly of new product prototypes
• Drive initiatives aimed at reducing production costs and improving product quality
• Train employees on new and existing manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with international teams across the organization
• Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards

Our requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred)
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar or related position
• Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, such as SMED, 6S, and TPM
• General understanding of APQP, PPAP, MSA, and PFMEA methodologies
• Familiarity with Integrated Management System requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949
• Experience with 3D design software
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Good command of English, enabling effective communication in an international environment, including technical terminology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive attitude and strong teamwork capabilities
