Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a QA Tester to contribute to testing of business-critical applications within an Agile environment. You will design and execute manual test scenarios, collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, and help improve testing standards and processes.

You will work on API testing, verify integration points, and support UAT. The role emphasizes independent learning, meticulousness, and teamwork across distributed teams, with remote or hybrid options from Poland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation.
• Hands-on testing: functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Ability to learn and understand complex business applications.
• Experience in defect reporting and test documentation.
• Familiarity with test management tools; Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman; SoapUI is an advantage).
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
• English proficiency for technical documentation.

Work model: Remote or optionally hybrid from Warszawa / Wrocław 2-3 days per week from the office

Join a team responsible for delivering and maintaining business-critical applications. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring software quality through comprehensive manual testing activities, close collaboration with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, and continuous improvement of testing standards and processes. The project involves testing integrated systems, API communication, and supporting high-quality software deliveries in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities You'll Have

• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and checklists based on business and technical requirements
• Analyze documentation, explore applications, and collaborate with project teams to gain a deep understanding of tested solutions
• Prepare and maintain test data required for testing activities
• Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
• Conduct integration testing and verify communication between systems using API testing tools
• Document test execution results and report defects with detailed reproduction steps
• Verify implemented fixes and perform re-testing of resolved defects
• Collaborate closely with analysts, developers, business users, and external vendors
• Contribute to the development and improvement of testing standards, templates, processes, and best practices

Expected competences and knowledge

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manual software testing
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques
• Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation
• Hands‑on experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Ability to independently learn and understand complex business applications
• Experience in defect reporting, tracking, and documentation
• Experience working with test management tools; knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman; knowledge of SoapUI is an advantage
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation standards
• English proficiency allowing comfortable work with technical documentation
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to validate data in databases would be an asset
• Familiarity with DevTools and browser diagnostic tools would be a plus
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
