Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a senior QA Automation Engineer to join a hybrid role in Poznań / Warsaw. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests for microservices, REST APIs, and backend systems, ensuring high quality through CI/CD integration and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers in an agile environment, shaping QA standards and automation practices across the project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as QA Automation Engineer / Test Automation Engineer.
• Commercial backend test automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java.
• Hands-on with testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured or similar.
• Experience with REST API testing and Postman.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with microservices and Git.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to write clean, scalable automation code.
• English at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
• Creating test scenarios and test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Performing manual, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Testing REST APIs and microservices-based applications
• Analyzing test results and reporting defects
• Collaborating closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers
• Participating in sprint planning, refinements, and release activities
• Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines used in testing processes
• Ensuring high software quality standards throughout the SDLC
• Identifying quality risks and proposing process improvements
• Contributing to the continuous evolution of QA best practices within the team

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer / Test Automation Engineer
• Commercial experience in backend test automation
• Strong knowledge of Java
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured or similar
• Experience with REST API testing
• Practical knowledge of Postman
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of Git
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
