WW Technic is an owner-led international engineering-services company with more than a decade of continuous operation, an established position in its core markets, and a loyal client base across Europe.
We operate astechnical services provider and acontractor in shipbuilding industry, off-shore, oil & gas, power & heat and other. Clients value WW Technic for engineering competence, reliability, and the responsiveness of a focused, senior team.
Internally we are small, close-knit, and proud of our culture: a friendly, “cosy” atmosphere, low politics, and shared values. The incoming Managing Director will be expected not only to protect this culture, but to carry it actively into the company’s next stage of growth.
The role
The Managing Director role combines full leadership of the company with a strong, hands‑on Business Development and commercial mandate - and that commercial mandate is the heart of the role. We are looking for a leader who will personally own the sales engine and turn WW Technic’s strong reputation into new international growth.
Your core mandate:
- Grow the company : develop and execute a strategy that consolidates WW Technic’s position in existing strategic markets and opens credible new business directions.
- Drive Business Development : own the pipeline, win key accounts, build partnerships, lead negotiations and close contracts in international markets.
- Lead the team : motivate and develop a team while preserving the company’s identity and values.
- Own the numbers: take full P&L responsibility for the company’s financial performance.
- Build long-term value: increase the enduring value of the company.
Key responsibilities
- Owns the commercial engine: develops the business concept, identifies opportunities, customers and sales projects, and builds and maintains long-term customer relationships in international markets.
- Leads negotiations at executive level and finalises agreements with customers.
- Develops and executes the company strategy - including new business directions - and reviews how well it is being delivered.
- Reads the market: tracks emerging trends, competitors and their strategies, and turns what emerges into concrete commercial moves.
- Oversees financial planning and budget execution , and monitors WW Technic’s financial performance with full P&L accountability.
- Manages HR processes and plays an active, decisive role in recruitment; keeps key staff motivated — particularly the engineering team — and supports them in difficult situations.
- Creates and sustains a healthy team spirit, and actively builds the company culture on WW Technic’s values.
- Represents the company to the highest business standards and in keeping with its culture.
- An engineering degree, together with proven experience in an industry of strategic importance to WW Technic - delivering technical and engineering services; a genuine service mindset is essential.
- A strong record in business development and senior-level sales: developing technical-service sales projects internationally, driving them to completion, negotiating and closing deals, and building relationships that last.
- Experience in managerial, director-level roles - leading teams and carrying P&L responsibility.
- Substantial international experience: selling, leading and building relationships across borders.
- Fluent business English , particularly in the engineering-services context, with working proficiency in Polish.
- A strategic thinker who goes beyond the obvious - ready to challenge assumptions and find non-obvious commercial angles rather than defaulting to how things have always been done - yet pragmatic enough to decide well under uncertainty.
- Entrepreneurial, creative, energetic and effective, with a real drive to finish what is started; commercially credible - quick to grasp a customer’s business, persuasive in presenting, and comfortable closing.
- A leader whose style fits WW Technic’s culture - inspiring and organising rather than commanding, a conductor who invites the team to co-author the solutions - with real concern for people, support in difficult moments, and integrity that can be trusted over the long term.
Nice to have
- Specific experience in the marine / marine electro-automation sector.
