Job summary

PwC Poland is seeking an experienced Manager with German to lead complex projects and PMO initiatives in a dynamic, multinational environment. You will steer governance, budgets and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams.

The role requires 7+ years in project/programme management, PMO experience, and fluency in English and German, with hybrid work and ample development opportunities within PwC's global network.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience managing complex projects, programmes or transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading PMO functions, establishing project governance and working with external clients and senior stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models with the ability to adapt approaches.
• Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, risk, change and stakeholder management.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary business and technology teams.
• Leadership skills and the ability to build engagement and accountability within project teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German; proficient in MS 365 and Jira/Confluence/MS Project.
• Proficiency in emerging technologies and AI-powered tools in daily work.

PwC Poland’s PMO team comprises over 40 members. We are a growing group of passionate project management professionals. We support our clients in implementing their strategies by managing and setting standards for portfolios, programmes and projects. We are constantly developing our consulting offering and PPM/PMO Managed Services. To this end, we work closely with our Partners across the PwC global network. Our international team is one of the largest of its kind in the world.

We are looking for:

Your future role:

• Manage complex business and technology projects and programmes from initiation to successful closure,
• Define project objectives, scope, delivery approach, governance structure and success criteria,
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and the quality of delivered outcomes,
• Establish and develop PMO structures, project management standards, reporting frameworks and governance processes,
• Prepare project status reports, analyses and recommendations for senior stakeholders and steering committees,
• Coordinate multiple workstreams delivered by business, technology and external partner teams,
• Support clients in designing and implementing project, programme and portfolio management frameworks tailored to their organisational needs,
• Facilitate decision-making processes and ensure effective project communication and documentation,
• Adapt delivery methods and priorities to changing business and technology requirements,
• Lead project and PMO teams, building engagement, accountability and effective cooperation,
• Build trusted relationships with clients and other teams across the PwC global network,
• Contribute to the development of the PMO offering, internal capabilities and business development activities,
• Support the professional development of team members through mentoring, knowledge sharing and coaching.

Apply if you have:

• At least 7 years of experience in managing complex projects, programmes or transformation initiatives,
• Experience in leading PMO functions, establishing project governance and working with external clients and senior stakeholders,
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models, with the ability to adapt project management approaches to business and delivery needs,

• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and management reports,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluency in English and German, practical knowledge of MS 365 and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence or MS Project,
• Proficiency in leveraging emerging technologies and AI-powered tools in daily work, including task automation, information analysis and content creation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in large-scale business or technology transformation programmes, including building operating models and governance structures,
• Experience in digital platforms, SaaS, ITSM or ITIL-related projects and related tools, such as ServiceNow or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central,
• Experience in business development, proposal preparation or developing consulting offerings in an international environment,
• Project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner.
