Job summary

WEIR in Leszno is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead plant maintenance operations, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee facility infrastructure to keep equipment running with minimal downtime. You will manage safety compliance, budgeting, and continuous improvement projects, including digitalization initiatives, while reporting progress to site leadership.

The role is onsite, requiring strong communication with internal teams and external partners, and a commitment to a zero-harm safety

Qualifications

  • Maintenance management experience in industrial plants or facilities.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and fire protection regulations with proven compliance experience.
  • Experience with digitalization projects and maintenance management systems.
  • Background in facility investment planning and project management.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working independently in a standalone role without direct team support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance operations including networks, machines, forklifts, lifting equipment, warehouse racks, vehicles, and facility infrastructure.
  • Schedule repairs, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure smooth operation of plant equipment.
  • Manage facility administration, fire protection, PPE, security, and cleaning services, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Lead strategic projects related to plant operations and digitalization initiatives, supervise new machines and equipment, and manage budgets to optimize costs.
  • Organize and coordinate teams and external maintenance providers, ensuring safety training, work quality, and policy adherence.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, monitor KPIs, define procedures, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero-harm safety culture and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.What you’ll do• Plant Maintenance Management: Oversee maintenance operations including networks, machines, forklifts, lifting equipment, warehouse racks, vehicles, and facility infrastructure such as utilities, IT, and CCTV. Daily tasks include scheduling repairs, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring smooth operation of plant equipment. Success means maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.• Facility and Safety Oversight: Manage facility administration, fire protection, personal protective equipment, security, and cleaning services. Participate in inspections by supervisory institutions and ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations. Travel may be required for site inspections and meetings.• Project and Investment Coordination: Lead strategic projects related to plant operations and digitalization initiatives. Supervise implementation of new machines and equipment, and manage budgets to optimize costs. Success is demonstrated by timely project delivery and cost control.• Contract and Subcontractor Management: Organize and coordinate teams and external companies providing maintenance services. Ensure subcontractors comply with safety training, work quality, and company policies. Negotiate minor repairs and monitor contract execution.• Continuous Improvement and Reporting: Conduct root cause analysis, monitor KPIs, define and optimize procedures, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
