Job summary

SOLID.Jobs Kraków is seeking a Batch Scheduling Specialist to support stability, availability and performance of enterprise IT services on IBM z/OS mainframes. You will focus on batch scheduling, infrastructure changes, service monitoring and incident management with emphasis on JCL and IWS.

The role requires 3+ years of mainframe experience, strong English and solid incident/change management knowledge, plus abilities in automation and CI processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in batch scheduling or mainframe ops.
• Solid knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS environments.
• Good knowledge of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS).
• Basic knowledge of Horizon IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD and XINFO.
• Understanding of incident and change management processes.
• Understanding of SLAs and service quality.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Maintain operational stability, integrity and availability of IT services.
• Ensure compliance with service management standards and data quality.
• Support incident identification, troubleshooting and resolution with DevOps.
• Contribute to service resilience, recovery time objectives.
• Implement infrastructure changes while preserving service quality.
• Support changes to meet performance, availability and security needs.
• Automate build, testing and deployment across environments.
• Improve automation, CI, monitoring and maintenance processes.
