Job summary

SOLID.Jobs Kraków is seeking a Batch Scheduling Specialist to support stability, availability and performance of enterprise IT services on IBM z/OS mainframes. You will focus on batch scheduling, infrastructure changes, service monitoring and incident management with emphasis on JCL and IWS.

The role requires 3+ years of mainframe experience, strong English and solid incident/change management knowledge, plus abilities in automation and CI processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in batch scheduling or mainframe ops.
• Solid knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS environments.
• Good knowledge of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS).
• Basic knowledge of Horizon IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD and XINFO.
• Understanding of incident and change management processes.
• Understanding of SLAs and service quality.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

We are looking for a Batch Scheduling Specialist to support the stability, availability and performance of enterprise IT services in a mainframe environment.

The role focuses on batch scheduling, infrastructure changes, service monitoring and incident management, with particular emphasis on IBM z/OS, JCL and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS).

You will

• Maintain the operational stability, integrity and availability of supported IT services
• Ensure compliance with service management standards, operational controls and data quality requirements
• Support incident identification, troubleshooting and resolution in collaboration with the DevOps team
• Help ensure service resilience, sustainability and recovery time objectives
• Implement infrastructure changes while maintaining service quality and user experience
• Support infrastructure changes to meet performance, availability, security and resilience requirements
• Automate build, testing and deployment processes across environments to improve consistency and reliability
• Improve automation, continuous integration, system monitoring and maintenance processes
