Job summary

Human Equation, based in Warsaw, Poland, seeks an M&A Director to lead budgeting, KPI development, and financial modelling across its portfolio companies. The role requires hands-on work with senior management and a strong investor mindset to drive value creation.

You will evaluate acquisitions, build investment papers, and collaborate with CFOs to affect strategic decisions. English proficiency is essential; Polish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in Private Equity.
• Hands-on experience working with portfolio companies from an investor's perspective, including budgeting, financial performance management and KPI monitoring.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills.
• The ability to combine analytical thinking with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
• Experience engaging with senior management teams and influencing strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Polish is considered an advantage.
• Experience in the retail or consumer sector is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling financial forecasts across portfolio companies.
• Develop and maintain KPI frameworks to monitor financial and operational performance.
• Build financial models and evaluate acquisition and buy-and-build opportunities.
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Work closely with CFOs and management teams across the portfolio companies to drive strategic initiatives and value creation.
• Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve operational and financial results.
• Support the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities.
