Job summary

Swift Recruitment is partnering with an international manufacturing organization to hire a Logistics Operations Team Leader in Wrocław. This hands-on leadership role oversees a team of 10–15 specialists, driving transport planning, KPI monitoring and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has strong people management, experience in road/rail transport planning and a track record of international collaboration. Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 remotely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing and developing operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 10–15 logistics professionals.
• Oversee daily transport planning and logistics execution, covering road/rail transport.
• Ensure efficient operational performance, service quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance and implement corrective actions.
• Manage operational challenges, delivery exceptions and escalations.
• Support transition and integration of logistics processes into operations.
• Drive process improvements and standardization for efficiency.
• Collaborate with international supply chain, planning and customer service teams.
• Support reporting, dashboards and data-driven decision-making.
• Guide the team through organizational and process changes while maintaining business continuity.

About the opportunity

For our client, a well-established international manufacturing organization, we are looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Team Leader to join its operations in Wrocław.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who combines strong people management skills with practical experience in transport planning and logistics operations.

You will lead a team of approximately 10–15 logistics professionals, ensuring operational efficiency, continuous improvement and successful integration of new logistics processes into the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 10–15 logistics professionals.
• Oversee daily transport planning and logistics execution, primarily covering road and rail transportation.
• Ensure efficient operational performance, service quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance and implement corrective actions.
• Manage operational challenges, delivery exceptions and escalations.
• Support the transition and integration of logistics processes into the operations.
• Drive process improvements, standardization and operational efficiency.

Your profile

• Experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within road and/or rail transport planning.
• Proven experience in managing and developing operational teams.
• Strong understanding of transport planning, logistics execution and operational performance management.
• Experience in an international corporate environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and KPIs.
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in process transitions, knowledge transfer or change management.
• Knowledge of Power BI, advanced Excel or other reporting tools.
• Experience with transport management systems (TMS) or ERP solutions.
• Background in SSC, GBS or centralized logistics operations.
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
