Your Mission
The Logistics Manager is responsible for developing and executing the plant logistics strategy to ensure the efficient flow of materials from supplier to customer. The role is accountable for optimising logistics costs, inventory, and working capital while maintaining uninterrupted material availability and delivery performance. Through effective supplier and customer coordination, robust inventory controls, continuous improvement initiatives, and strong operational leadership, the Logistics Manager supports plant profitability, operational excellence, and successful project launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Managing the supply chain and supplier relationships on a global scale.
- Communicating with customers on production volume planning and delivery management.
- Analysis and improvements implementation within internal material supply and stock holds.
- Introduction, optimisation and management of robust inventory controls.
- Responsibility for annual inventory, cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
- Supporting P&L, cash-flow and working-capital improvement through inventory and logistics optimisation.
- Full responsibility for plant logistics strategy, performance and budget.
- Ensuring continuous material availability while minimising inventory and working capital.
- Management of logistics KPIs, including inventory levels, premium freight, delivery performance, logistics costs and stock accuracy.
- Development and implementation of logistics cost-reduction programmes.
- Responsibility for warehouse organisation, capacity planning and space utilisation.
- Coordination of logistics activities during new project launches, industrialisation, SOP and production transfers.
- Coordination of 4PL services.
- Inbound and outbound logistics.
- Coordination and escalation in supplier and customer relationships (not direct commercial negotiations - these sit with Purchasing/Sales).
- Full P&L accountability for logistics costs.
What You'll Bring
- Proven ability to develop and execute logistics strategies that optimise costs, improve operational efficiency, and support overall business performance.
- Strong experience managing inbound and outbound supply chains, building effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Expertise in inventory management, stock control, cycle counting, and warehouse optimisation, with a focus on improving inventory accuracy and reducing working capital.
- Data-driven approach to monitoring and improving logistics KPIs, including delivery performance, logistics costs, inventory levels, premium freight, and stock accuracy.
- Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives, supporting new product launches, industrialisation activities, and logistics transformations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to speak Polish and English to a high level.
