Job summary

Andersen is hiring a System Administrator (Linux) in the EU to ensure stable and secure operation of a government digital platform, maintaining Linux and containerized environments with a focus on availability, security, and compliance.

The role involves operating and maintaining Linux servers, Docker environments, and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), monitoring, incident management, and collaboration with IT-DLZ to uphold security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator in tech or digital products.
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of Docker and DevOps principles.
• Experience with application clusters.
• Basic knowledge of IT security and system hardening.
• English level at Upper-Intermediate or above.
• German level at Intermediate+ or above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and continuous operation of the government infrastructure and applications.
• Operate and maintain servers and applications.
• Administer Linux environments (SUSE 12/15).
• Monitor systems and perform system analysis.
• Operate and maintain Docker environments.
• Administer PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Manage incidents and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with IT-DLZ.
• Ensure system security and availability.
