Job summary

Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Spatial Planning, invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) position. The role combines research, teaching in English and Polish, and active participation in international projects and conferences.

The successful candidate will conduct architectural and urban design research, publish in journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, and contribute to European grants while working in a supportive, international

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in architecture or related field.
• Design experience in architecture.
• Authorship or co-authorship of at least one scientific publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
• Active participation in international conferences.
• Ability to conduct research in international teams with publications.
• Advanced English enabling teaching and writing scientific articles.
• Experience teaching foundations of building construction, architecture, and urban planning.
• Knowledge of new research methods and teaching tools.
• Declaration of scientific development with plans to obtain a doctoral degree.
• Research interests in urban planning supported by publications or projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and strive for scientific development.
• Publish results in scientific journals.
• Participate in scientific and educational conferences.
• Apply for and participate in research grants.
• Cooperate in externally commissioned research.
• Conduct classes in English and Polish.
• Educate in architectural and urban design including building construction, urban spaces, landscape management, and digital tools for urban analysis.
