Job summary

Warsaw University of Technology seeks a First Stage Researcher (R1) in the Department of Cartography at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography. The role covers education, teaching classes, contributing to research projects, and performing duties assigned by superiors.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Geodesy and Cartography or a related field, and must have strong Polish and English skills, GIS knowledge, and programming experience (Python, ROS).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geodesy and Cartography or an equivalent field.
• Excellent command of Polish and English.
• Scientific profile related to the specialization of the Department of Cartography.
• Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS).
• Knowledge of topics related to Smart Cities, IoT, and mobile mapping.
• Programming skills (Python or another language), ability to integrate sensors in a ROS environment.
• Teaching experience.
• Interest in and knowledge of the scientific exploration of extraterrestrial bodies is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Educate students and conduct classes in the Department of Cartography.
• Participate in research projects and perform other duties assigned by superiors.
