Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Lead Test Engineer (Consultant) to provide test leadership in a multi-skilled agile team within the public sector. You’ll shape testing strategy, design and delivery of automated, manual, and non-functional tests to ensure software quality and timely promotions to users.

You’ll mentor and develop a small team, collaborate with customers, and drive continuous improvement with modern QA tools and practices while staying hands-on.

Qualifications

• Testing levels have adequate coverage across software layers.
• Design, create and maintain tests scripts and approaches (manual and automated).
• Experience with open-source test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress) and configuring CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Proficient in at least one OO language (Java).
• Strong technical understanding of software architectures.
• Experience managing others, setting objectives and giving feedback.
• Eager to learn new QA tools, techniques and methodologies.
